Congratulations, you are going to Europe this year, 2024. However, you’re not sure where to go. You might be worried about visiting popular places because they’re full of tourists. You’re correct. They will be crowded, especially this summer. With that thought in mind, in this blog, I’m going to five lesser-known European countries that I want to explore, and perhaps you will too.

What type of traveler should consider these options?

Let me start by answering a basic question: What type of traveler would fit these countries well?

1. Seasoned European traveler. By that, I mean you’ve been there at least a few times and are comfortable and confident traveling to Europe. I do not recommend these options for rookies.
2. You’re a budget traveler. You need to save some money. The countries on this list are less expensive because they are less popular than many other European countries.
